Medical Supply Technician (Sterile Processing)
Primary purpose and responsibility are for transporting Reusable Medical Devices (RMD) to and from clinics, modules, operating room, emptying cart washer, removing filters from surgical instrument trays, pushing and pulling over 200 pounds, and assisting in decontamination and preparation areas. The duties require basic knowledge of sterile techniques within the SPS department. Basic Requirements: United States Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy. Experience and/or Education Experience. Six months of experience that demonstrates the applicant's ability to perform the work or provides an understanding of the work; or Education.
